Aubree Hardy Dies after Truck Accident on Interstate 10 in Ontario

Aubree Hardy Identified as Child Killed in Ontario Truck Crash on Interstate 10 near Haven Avenue

Ontario, California (June 18, 2020) – Aubree Hardy, 5, of San Dimas, has been identified as the child who was killed along with two other adults on Tuesday morning in Ontario, according to the San Bernardino County Coroner’s office.

The deadly crash occurred in the number 3 lane of Interstate 10 Freeway, just west of Haven Avenue, at about 9:28 a.m., on June 16.

According to the officials, a 2011 Volvo tractor hauling a semi-trailer was heading eastbound on Interstate 10 when it rear-ended a 2002 Chrysler Voyager van that was stopped for traffic ahead.

The force of the impact pushed the Voyager crashing into a 2015 Volvo tractor towing a semi-trailer that was directly behind it, the police said.

A witness told the police that the 2011 Volvo was driving at about 60 miles per hour and did not appear to be trying to stop before the accident.

All three occupants in the Voyager, Aubree Hardy, Aaron Hardy, 25, of Fontana, and Rachel Miller, 27, of San Dimas, succumbed to their injuries at the scene.

The 2011 Volvo driver sustained moderate injuries and was transported to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center for treatment.

An investigation into the accident is underway.

According to Arin Khodaverdian, the Managing Partner and CEO Alpine Law Group, a separate investigation by an experienced attorney is necessary to clearly uncover the circumstances surrounding the collision. “An attorney will also help the victim to navigate all the legal processes in pursuit of fair compensation and justice. Truck accident claims are rarely straightforward, and, regardless of the circumstances involved, liable insurance companies will often do everything possible to limit their out-of-pocket expenses by either devaluing or outright denying your claim. It is crucial, therefore, that you have an experienced attorney on your side,” said Arin.
