Aaron Hardy Killed in 3-Vehicle Crash Accident on Interstate 10 in Ontario

Aaron Hardy Identified as 1 of 3 Victims Killed in Ontario Truck Crash on Interstate 10 near Haven Avenue

Ontario, California (June 18, 2020) – Authorities have identified Aaron Hardy, 25, of Fontana, as one of three people who were killed in a semi-trailer accident on Tuesday morning in Ontario.

The fatal crash occurred at around 9:28 a.m., on June 16, in the number 3 lane of Interstate 10 Freeway, just west of Haven Avenue.

A 2011 Volvo tractor pulling a semi-trailer was driving eastbound on Interstate 10 when it rear-ended a 2002 Chrysler Voyager van that was stopped due to traffic ahead, the police said.

The 2011 Volvo was allegedly traveling at about 60 miles per hour when the accident occurred.

The force of the impact pushed the Voyager crashing into the rear trailer of a 2015 Volvo.

All three occupants of the Voyager, Aaron Hardy, Rachel Miller, 27, of San Dimas, and Aubree Hardy, 5, of San Dimas, were declared dead at the scene.

The 2011 Volvo driver was transported to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center with moderate injuries sustained from the mishap.

The crash remains under investigation.

According to Arin Khodaverdian, the Managing Partner and CEO Alpine Law Group, a separate investigation by an experienced attorney is necessary to clearly uncover the circumstances surrounding the collision. “An attorney will also help the victim to navigate all the legal processes in pursuit of fair compensation and justice. Car accident claims are rarely straightforward, and, regardless of the circumstances involved, liable insurance companies will often do everything possible to limit their out-of-pocket expenses by either devaluing or outright denying your claim. It is crucial, therefore, that you have an experienced attorney on your side,” said Arin.

What to Do At the Accident Scene

Nobody is ever prepared for an accident. However, knowing what to do in case you are involved in the accident is very crucial. The following steps will help you ensure your safety and the safety of others.

  1. Stay at the scene and don’t panic.

  1. Check for injuries and immediately call for an ambulance if anyone is hurt.

  1. Notify the police even if no one is injured. The police will examine the scene and document the accident. At this point, it is important to record accurate information. You can later request a police report.

  1. If the accident is minor, it is advisable to move the vehicles to the shoulder and turn on your vehicle’s hazard lights to ensure the safety of other motorists.

  1. Gather information about the other drivers involved in the accident. Also, talk to witnesses and get their information.

  1. If possible, take photos of the damage to your car and the surrounding area.

  1. Do not admit fault or discuss the accident with anyone. Do not sign any papers unless requested by the police.

  1. Do not leave the accident scene until the police have left.

After leaving the accident scene,

  1. Contact your insurance company as soon as possible.

  1. Get a copy of the accident report from the police.

  1. Get a property damage valuation.

  1. If you were injured in the accident, keep detailed notes of your injuries and track your medical treatment.

  1. Contact a reputable personal injury attorney to protect your rights.

  1. Seek legal advice before you contact your insurer to discuss your car accident claim and compensation for your personal injuries. A qualified attorney will help you recover the maximum amount of damages.
