Woman Killed in Fresno Pedestrian Accident at Shields Avenue and Maroa Avenue
Fresno, California (April 24, 2020) – A woman was struck and killed by a vehicle Thursday night at an intersection in Fresno, police said.
At about 9:15 p.m. on April 23, authorities received a report about the accident at the intersection of Shields Avenue and Maroa Avenue.
According to the police, the woman was jaywalking across Shields Avenue when she was hit by a vehicle.
The woman was transported to a local hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries. Her name has not been released pending notification of family.
The driver involved stopped at the scene and cooperated with the police.
The accident remains under investigation.
