Rider Suffers Major Injuries in Davenport Motorcycle Accident on Highway 1 near Bonnie Doon Tuesday afternoon

Davenport, California (April 15, 2020) – A motorcyclist was seriously injured following a traffic accident that happened Tuesday afternoon in Davenport, Santa Cruz.

The motorcyclist collided with a gray Jeep on Highway 1 near Bonnie Doon at around 3:33 p.m. Tuesday, April 14, according to a report by the California Highway Patrol.

The rider, whose name was not immediately disclosed, was taken to a local hospital with major injuries. The condition of the patient at this time remained unknown.

An investigation into the crash is underway.

“Far too many motorcycle collisions are caused by the carelessness or recklessness of other motorists. Sadly, when this occurs, motorcyclists are the ones who tend to suffer the vast majority of injuries”, according to Arin Khodaverdian, Managing Partner and CEO Alpine Law Group. Under California’s rule of comparative negligence, a victim may be able to collect compensation for injuries and other damages even if you were partly at fault for the accident.
