Motorcyclist Seriously Injured in Highway 101 Crash in Carpenteria

Rider Suffers Major Injuries in Carpenteria Motorcycle Accident on Highway 101 near Linden Avenue

Carpenteria, California (April 17, 2020) – A motorcyclist was hospitalized Thursday morning following a traffic collision on a highway in Carpenteria, according to California Highway Patrol.

The CHP said the motorcyclist and two vehicles collided on Highway 101 near Linden Avenue at about 10:06 a.m. April 16. The rider was thrown from the bike upon the impact.

Emergency crews responded to the scene and rendered aid to the motorcyclist who suffered major injuries in the crash. The patient was then transported to a local hospital for further treatment.

The accident remains under investigation.

“Far too many motorcycle collisions are caused by the carelessness or recklessness of other motorists. Sadly, when this occurs, motorcyclists are the ones who tend to suffer the vast majority of injuries”, according to Arin Khodaverdian, Managing Partner and CEO Alpine Law Group. Under California’s rule of comparative negligence, a victim may be able to collect compensation for injuries and other damages even if you were partly at fault for the accident.
