Man Seriously Hurt in Fresno Bicycle Accident on Auberry Road near Copper Avenue
Fresno, California (April 28, 2020) – Authorities are investigating a traffic collision that left a man seriously injured on Tuesday afternoon in Fresno.
The major injury bicycle accident occurred on Auberry Road near Copper Avenue, at around 3:30 p.m.
An electric mountain bike, operated by a male, veered into the roadway of a utility work truck coming from behind, said the police.
The cyclist was struck on the head by the side mirror of the truck after the truck driver tried to avoid him by swerving left.
The cyclist was taken to Community Regional Medical Center with moderate to major injuries sustained from the mishap.
Drugs or alcohol did not play a role in the accident.
More details about the crash were not immediately available.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
