Man Hit, Killed by Multiple Vehicles on 15 Freeway in San Bernardino

Man Killed in San Bernardino Pedestrian Accident on 15 Freeway near Glen Helen Parkway

San Bernardino, California (April 2, 2020) – A man died after being struck by several vehicles Sunday night in San Bernardino, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The accident, which was reported shortly before 9:00 p.m. Sunday, March 30, happened on the 15 Freeway, just south of Glen Helen Parkway.

The CHP said the man was running in the westbound lanes of the 15 Freeway when, for unknown reasons, he was struck by three vehicles.

The man was killed in the accident. His name has not been disclosed pending notification of family.

The first driver did not stop to render aid to the victim and fled the scene. The other two motorists stayed at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.

There was no description given about the hit-and-run driver and vehicle. Anyone with information on the suspect’s whereabouts is urged to call the San Bernardino CHP Area office at 909-383-4247.

A person on foot is no match for a vehicle. Pedestrians have virtually no protection when they are hit by cars, motorcycles, trucks, and other vehicles. Sadly, this often leads to catastrophic injuries and/or death. “Due to the incredibly serious nature of these types of injuries, pedestrian accident cases often require special care in order to help ensure victims receive the full compensation they need for extensive medical bills, ongoing rehabilitation therapy, in-home care, lost past and future earnings, and numerous other economic and non-economic damages”, Said Arin Khodaverdian, an experienced pedestrian accident attorney.

Arin noted that pedestrians, in most instances, have the right-of-way when crossing a street or an intersection. According to Arin, to properly investigate a pedestrian crash and prove negligence, enough resources are required. “A skilled attorney has the resources and will help investigate the accident to determine the party at fault,” Arin said
