Man Severely Hurt after San Gregorio Motorcycle Accident on Highway 1 near Pomponio Beach in San Mateo County
San Gregorio, California (April 9, 2020) – Authorities are investigating a major motorcycle collision that left a male rider with serious injuries on Wednesday afternoon in San Gregorio, San Mateo County.
According to the CHP officials, the collision occurred on southbound Highway 1, just south of Pomponio Beach at about 3:35 p.m. April 8.
Authorities said a male rider collided with a car for unknown reasons. As a result of the collision, the motorcyclist was laying on the right-hand shoulder of the roadway.
Firefighters along with medical personnel rendered aid to the injured parties including the male rider. The man was airlifted to the hospital for treatment of serious injuries. The patient’s name and their current condition were not immediately released.
No additional information concerning this collision was provided.
An investigation is ongoing.
