2 Men Injured in Plane Crash near Corona Municipal Airport in Corona

Pilot, Passenger Injured in Corona Plane Crash near Corona Municipal Airport

Corona, California (April 20, 2020) – Two men were injured when a small plane crashed Sunday morning in Corona, according to authorities.

The crash took place at about 10:48 a.m. Sunday, April 19, near Corona Municipal Airport.

Authorities said the plane, a Cessna 152, was engaged in a training exercise when it crashed southwest of the airport. Reportedly, the plane was doing two touchdowns and lost power during the second touchdown.

The pilot sustained moderate injuries while his passenger had minor injuries. Both victims, described as men in their late 50s, were transported to a hospital for treatment.

The National Transportation and Safety Board is investigating the accident.

According to Arin Khodaverdian, the Managing Partner and CEO Alpine Law Group, a separate investigation by an experienced attorney is necessary to clearly uncover the circumstances surrounding the collision. “An attorney will also help the victim to navigate all the legal processes in pursuit of fair compensation and justice. Plane accident claims are rarely straightforward, and, regardless of the circumstances involved, liable insurance companies will often do everything possible to limit their out-of-pocket expenses by either devaluing or outright denying your claim. It is crucial, therefore, that you have an experienced attorney on your side,” said Arin.
