2 Hospitalized after 2-Car Crash on 5 Freeway in Valencia

2 Injured in Valencia Car Accident on 5 Freeway near Rye Canyon Road

Valencia, California (April 28, 2020) – Two people were left nursing injuries after a two-vehicle accident on Sunday evening in Valencia, according to police.

The crash happened at about 6:03 p.m., on April 26, on northbound 5 Freeway at Rye Canyon Road.

A red Chrysler sedan collided with a Toyota sedan in unclear circumstances, according to the authorities.

The Chrysler reportedly overturned and came to a rest on its roof, pinning the driver as a result. The driver was extricated before the vehicle caught fire.

The driver of the Chrysler suffered a head injury while the other driver appeared to have sustained moderate injuries. Both drivers were taken to Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital for treatment.

Speed was suspected of having contributed to the accident.

More details about the crash were not immediately available.

An investigation into the accident is underway. Anyone with information about the collision is urged to call the CHP Newhall Area Office at (661) 294-5540.

According to Arin Khodaverdian, the Managing Partner and CEO Alpine Law Group, a separate investigation by an experienced attorney is necessary to clearly uncover the circumstances surrounding the collision. “An attorney will also help the victim to navigate all the legal processes in pursuit of fair compensation and justice.Car accident claims are rarely straightforward, and, regardless of the circumstances involved, liable insurance companies will often do everything possible to limit their out-of-pocket expenses by either devaluing or outright denying your claim. It is crucial, therefore, that you have an experienced attorney on your side,” said Arin.
