Woman Struck and Injured by Car on Larrylyn Drive in Whittier

Woman Airlifted after Whittier Pedestrian Crash on Larrylyn Drive

Whittier, California (September 17, 2019) – A woman was airlifted after a pedestrian accident Monday afternoon in the area of Whittier, according to authorities.

The collision happened at about 4:20 p.m. Monday, September 16, in the 11000 block of Larrylyn Drive near Lebo Street and Leffingwell Road.

As per the CHP officials, a female pedestrian was hit by a car for unknown reasons.

Firefighters along with paramedics responded to the scene and attended to the woman who suffered critical injuries as a result of the crash. The woman was flown to Los Angeles County+USC Medical Center for treatment.

The woman’s name and her current condition were not immediately released.

Officials did not mention if the involved driver fled the scene or remained at the scene after the crash.

No additional information concerning this crash was provided.

An investigation is underway.
