Tabitha Boyd Dies after Oxnard Pedestrian Crash on Ventura Road
Oxnard, California (September 13, 2019) – 37-year-old Tabitha Boyd has been identified as the pedestrian killed after an alleged hit-and-run collision on Wednesday night in Oxnard, according to a California Highway Patrol dispatch.
The collision happened at about around 11:36 p.m. Wednesday, September 11, on Ventura Road, near Juniper Street
As per the report, Boyd, a transient, was walking in the northbound lanes on Ventura Road when for unknown reasons she was hit by a vehicle. Boyd was then struck by several vehicles.
Responding firefighters declared the woman dead at the crash site.
Officials said the first driver did not stop to render aid after the crash but fled the scene.
Authorities described the suspect vehicle as a dark-colored SUV.
The other involved drivers did not also stop to assist the victim after the crash.
An investigation by the California Highway Patrol is ongoing.
