Robert Obrikat Struck, Killed by Amtrak Train on Devonshire Street in Chatsworth

Robert Obrikat ID’d as Man Killed in Chatsworth Train Accident on Devonshire Street near Chatsworth Station

Chatsworth, California (September 19, 2019) – The man who was struck and killed by an Amtrak train Wednesday night in Chatsworth has been identified as Robert Obrikat, 43, of Granada Hills.

The fatal crash occurred at around 8:10 p.m. Wednesday, September 18 in a non-pedestrian area in the 21300 block of Devonshire Street, just north of the Chatsworth Station.

According to a local news report, Obrikat was hit by the Amtrak Coast Starlight Train 11that was traveling from Seattle to Los Angeles.

Obrikat was pronounced dead at the scene.

None of the 151 passengers or crew members aboard the train was injured in the accident.

Authorities are investigating the accident.
