Possible Injuries in 2-Vehicle Crash on Highway 41 in Madera County

Possible Injuries after Madera County Car Accident on State Route 41 and Jewel Vista Drive Tuesday afternoon

Madera County, California (September 17, 2019) – Authorities are investigating a traffic accident that happened in Madera County Tuesday afternoon.

The crash happened on State Route 41 and Jewel Vista Drive.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a jeep collided with a fuel tanker on the highway for reasons still under investigation. The fuel tanker’s gas tank was punctured upon the impact and spilled 30 gallons of fuel on the road.

It was immediately unclear if anyone was injured in the crash.

Northbound and southbound traffic on State Route 41 was shut down following the crash. The northbound traffic was diverted to Road 208 while the southbound traffic was diverted onto Road 200.

The CHP is still investigating the cause of the accident.
