Person Killed in San Fernando Pedestrian Accident at Maclay Avenue and First Street

San Fernando, California (September 16, 2019) – According to a local news source, a pedestrian died after being struck by a Metrolink train Sunday morning in San Fernando.

The tragic pedestrian accident happened at about 10:40 a.m. Sunday, September 15 at a railroad crossing near the intersection of Maclay Avenue and First Street.

Authorities said a male pedestrian was hit by a Metrolink train that was en route to Los Angeles from the Antelope Valley.

Freighters along with paramedics responded and pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene. His name has not been diclosed pending notification of family.

 Police cordoned off the area and stopped railway operations as they investigated the cause of the deadly accident.
