Pedestrian Struck, Injured by Vehicle on Clairemont Mesa Boulevard in Clairemont

Woman Seriously Injured in Clairemont Pedestrian Accident on Clairemont Mesa Boulevard

San Diego, California (September 13, 2019) – A pedestrian was seriously injured after being struck by a vehicle Thursday afternoon in the Clairemont neighborhood, according to police.

The accident occurred just before 2:00 p.m. Thursday, September 12 in the 5400 block of Clairemont Mesa Boulevard.

Police said the pedestrian, a 78-year-old woman, was walking on Clairemont Mesa Boulevard when she was hit by a 2014 Toyota RAV 4 driven by a 49-year-old woman, who was exiting a gas station parking lot.

The pedestrian sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to a hospital. Her name and condition at this time remain undisclosed.

The driver of the Toyota was uninjured in the accident.
