Person Dies in San Francisco Caltrain Accident near 22nd San Francisco Station
San Francisco, California (September 5, 2019) – A person was hit and killed by a Caltrain Thursday morning in San Francisco, according to a local news source.
Authorities said the deadly accident happened at around 6:32 a.m. between Tunnels 2 and 3 near the 22nd Street station.
According to the authorities, the person was on the tracks when a northbound train No. 103 traveling from San Jose to San Francisco struck the victim.
The victim, who has not been identified pending notification of family, died at the scene.
None of about 75 people aboard the train was injured.
All trains on the line were halted as authorities investigated the crash.
