Nathalia Rodriguez Hurt after Los Angeles Pedestrian Crash on Pico Boulevard and Alvarado Street

Los Angeles, California (September 7, 2019) – 13-year-old Nathalia Rodriguez has been identified as the teenager girl injured after an alleged hit-and-run crash on Wednesday morning in Pico-Union, Los Angeles, according to authorities.

The crash happened around at 6:30 a.m. at Pico Boulevard and Alvarado Street Wednesday Tuesday, September 4.

According to the California Highway Patrol, Rodriguez was on her way to school and was walking at the intersection in a marked crosswalk when she was struck by a Jeep Cherokee driven by a male driver.

The male driver was reportedly heading north on Alvarado and was crossing Pico Boulevard at the time.

Responding emergency crews attended to the girl who suffered serious injuries in the collision. She was rushed to a local hospital where she was listed in a stable condition.

The male driver involved stopped briefly at the crash site and walked up to the teen and apologized before fleeing northbound on Alvarado Street in his car.

Police said the male driver put his vehicle on reverse, and walked up to Rodriguez and apologized before fleeing northbound on Alvarado Street in his vehicle.

Police are offering a $25,000 reward for a person with details leading to the arrest and conviction of the hit-and-run driver.
