Motorcyclist Struck, Injured by Firetruck on Paradise Valley Road in Spring Valley

Rider Hospitalized after Spring Valley Motorcycle Accident on Paradise Valley Road Thursday

Spring Valley, California (September 6, 2019) – A motorcyclist was injured after being struck by a San Miguel Fire District fire engine Thursday in Spring Valley, according to a local news source.

As per the local news report, the accident happened on Paradise Valley Road on Thursday, September 5.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the motorcyclist was traveling eastbound on Paradise Valley Road when for an unknown reason, he slammed into the firetruck that was turning right into an apartment building.

The motorcyclist was trapped underneath the firetruck after the impact.

The rider was transported to Scripps Mercy Hospital with unknown injuries.  The name and condition of the patient at this time were not disclosed.

There were no further details given regarding the crash.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
