Motorcyclist Injured in South San Francisco Crash on Highway 101

Ridder Hospitalized after South San Francisco Motorcycle Accident on Highway 101 Airport Boulevard

South San Francisco, California (September 9, 2019) – A motorcyclist was hospitalized Sunday afternoon with injuries sustained in a traffic accident in South San Francisco.

According to a California Highway Patrol report, the crash was reported at around 3:56 p.m. Sunday, September 8 on Highway 101 near the South Airport Boulevard exit.

As per the CHP report, a motorcycle collided with a silver SUV for an unknown reason on the northbound side of Highway 101.

Emergency crews responded to the scene and provided medical aid to the rider who sustained road rash to the right arm, right wrist and both knees.

The victim was then taken to Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital and Trauma Center for further treatment.  The name and current condition of the patient were not immediately released.

There were no details provided regarding the SUV driver.

An investigation into the crash is underway.
