1 Killed, 2 Airlifted after National Trails Highway Collision near Tawney Ridge Lane in Victorville
Victorville, California (September 9, 2019) – One person died, and two others were hospitalized after a head-on car crash that happened Sunday night in Victorville, a local news source reported.
The incident took place at around 10:39 p.m. on National Trails Highway near Tawney Ridge Lane, just in front of the cement plant.
As per the article, a sheriff’s news report said a white Nissan Armada was heading southbound toward the Interstate 15 and at the same time a red Ford Flex was traveling northbound.
Authorities said, for unknown reasons, the Nissan crossed over the double-yellow line into oncoming traffic and crashed head-on into the Ford.
45-year-old Kenya Williams, who was driving the Nissan, sustained moderate injuries and was airlifted to a local trauma center for treatment.
The Ford was occupied by the driver and a passenger. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene, and the passenger was airlifted to a local trauma center and listed in critical condition. The identities of the two occupants of the Ford had not yet been released at the time of the report.
Authorities are investigating if drugs or alcohol were a factor in the collision.
The incident is being investigated by the Victorville Police Department.
