1 Killed and 4 Injured in Collision Involving MTA Bus on Alameda Street in Willowbrook
Willowbrook, California (September 1, 2019) – One person was killed in a collision involving an MTA bus in Willowbrook early Sunday morning.
According to a local news source, the accident happened at about 2:10 a.m. on Alameda Street.
As per the report, an MTA bus was traveling on the roadway when it crashed into four parked vehicles.
One of the vehicles was pushed into a sidewalk where it struck a group of pedestrians standing by a Taco stand.
One of the pedestrians, 32-year-old Jose Hernandez of Lynwood, was injured in the collision and was transported to St. Francis Hospital where he later died.
Three other pedestrians and an occupant of one of the cars were seriously injured in the accident and was transported.
No further information was provided.
An investigation to determine the cause of the accident is underway.
