Injury Fiery Multi-Vehicle Crash on Highway 168 in Clovis

Minor Injuries Sustained in Clovis Car accident on Highway 168 near Fowler Avenue Off-Ramp

Clovis, California (September 22, 2019) – Minor injuries were sustained following a traffic accident that occurred in Clovis early Sunday morning.

As per a local news report, the crash took place just after 2:30 a.m. on Highway 168 near the Fowler Avenue off-ramp.

According to the California Highway Patrol, an unidentified woman was driving her SUV on the highway when for an undetermined reason, she crashed and her vehicle overturned near the Fowler Avenue exit. Two other SUVs pulled off to the side of the road and the drivers got out to help, but a pickup truck plowed right through and hit all three of them.

As a result of the collision, one of the SUVs got smashed and went on fire, but fire crews put it out.

Authorities said the crash resulted in minor injuries.

The woman was arrested on suspicion of DUI.

The highway as reopened just after 4:00 a.m.

No further details were immediately provided. An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
