Elizabeth Reed Killed Metz Road Hit-and-Run Accident in Greenfield

King City Woman Killed in Greenfield Head-On Crash on Metz Road Identified

Greenfield, California (September 18, 2019) – 35-year-old Elizabeth Reed, of King City, has been identified as the victim who died in a hit-and-run crash that happened Monday afternoon in Greenfield.

As per the California Highway Patrol, the accident took place at about 3:50 p.m. on Metz Road.

Officers said a 30-year-old King City man was driving a Chevrolet Silverado when he rear-ended a northbound Honda Civic occupied by two people. He then swerved into oncoming traffic and crashed head-on into a Honda Accord driven by Reed.

The King City man fled the scene after the incident.

Reed was extricated from her car and rushed to a hospital. Unfortunately, she died of her injuries while receiving treatment.

The occupants of the Civic were not hurt.

CHP said alcohol might have been involved in the accident.

Police are searching for the hit-and-run driver.
