Austin Grosjean Injured in DUI Crash on Silverado Trail in Napa

Austin Grosjean Seriously Injured in Napa Motorcycle Accident on Silverado Trail and Highland Drive

Napa, California (September 17, 2019)– The motorcyclist who was seriously injured Saturday night in an alleged DUI crash in Napa has been identified as Austin Grosjean, 24.

The accident happened at about 8:30 p.m. Saturday, September 14 on the Silverado Trail and Highland Drive.

According to the California Highway Patrol, Grosjean was stopped on Silverado Trail with his blinkers on waiting to make a left onto Winding Way when his motorcycle was hit from behind by a vehicle operated by Alexis Handleman, 68.

Paramedics responded to the scene and provided medical aid to Grosjean who sustained a broken thigh bone. He was then transported to the hospital for further treatment.

Handleman was arrested on suspicion of felony DUI and taken to the Napa County jail before being released.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
