At Least 1 Dead in Davis Amtrak Train Crash at County Road 32A and County Road 105

Davis, California (September 16, 2019) – At least one person died when a train collided with a vehicle Monday afternoon on the rail tracks at an intersection in Davis, a local news source reported.

The accident occurred at around 12:30 p.m. at county roads 32A and 105.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a Toyota sedan was on the railroad crossing when it was hit by a westbound Amtrak train.

At least one person died in the accident. It was not clear how many people occupied the car at the time of the accident. The report also did not say if there was any other person injured in the crash.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
