Ahmed Alogaily ID’d as 1 of 2 Victims Killed in 60 Freeway Accident near Gilman Springs Road in Moreno Valley
Moreno Valley, California (September 7, 2019) – Authorities have identified one of the two people who died in a traffic accident that occurred Thursday afternoon in Moreno Valley as Ahmed Alogaily, 20.
The deadly crash took place at around 1:10 p.m. Thursday, September 5 on 60 Freeway near Gilman Springs Road.
According to reports, Mitchell Finesod, 55, of Moreno Valley, was driving a white 1993 Corvette westbound on the 60 Freeway when he drifted into the eastbound lanes to pass slow traffic and clipped the right front wheel of a big rig.
Finesod then lost control of the Corvette and collided with an eastbound black Jaguar SUV.
Two occupants of the SUV, Alogaily and another unidentified person, were pronounced dead at the scene. Two other people in the SUV sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to the hospital.
Finesod was taken to Riverside University Health System Hospital in Moreno Valley with non-life threatening injuries. He was later taken into custody by the authorities.
The crash remained under investigation.
