6 Clovis Unified Students Hospitalized After School Bus Crash at Belmont and Folwer Avenues in Fresno

6 Clovis Unified Students Injured in Fresno School Bus Accident at Belmont and Folwer Avenues

Fresno, California (September 11, 2019) – Six Clovis Unified students were hospitalized Wednesday morning after a traffic accident involving a school bus in the area of Belmont and Folwer avenues in southeast Fresno, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The wreck occurred at about 7:00 a.m. at the intersection of Belmont and Folwer avenues.

The CHP said a Dodge Charger slammed into the back of the bus for an unknown reason at the intersection. The Charger sustained major front-end damage as a result of the crash.

There were seventy children on board the bus. According to the CHP, six children complained of pain and were transported as a precaution.

Belmont Avenue was shut down as the investigation and cleanup took place

No other information was given regarding the incident.

An investigation into the crash is underway.
