5 Injured in Charter Bus Accident on 118 Freeway in Simi Valley

5 Injured in Simi Valley Charter Bus Crash on 118 Freeway at Madera Drive

Simi Valley, California (September 4, 2019) – According to a report by the California Highway Patrol, five people were injured in a traffic accident that occurred Tuesday morning in Simi Valley.

As per the CHP report, the crash happened at around 9:06 a.m. Tuesday, September 3 on the westbound 118 Freeway at Madera Road.

A charter bus and three other vehicles were involved in the crash. Thirty-three students and seven adults from Bakersfield were aboard the bus headed to the Ronald Reagan Library.

A total of forty-three people were involved in the accident. Five people sustained injuries as a result of the crash and were taken to a hospital for treatment. 

Their names and conditions at this time were not disclosed.

Authorities are still investigating the accident.
