42-Year-Old Jay Holland Critically Hurt in Motorcycle Crash on Highway 41 and Morava Road in Coarsegold

Jay Holland Severely Injured in Coarsegold Accident on Highway 41 and Morava Road

Coarsegold, California (September 15, 2019) – Authorities are investigating a major motorcycle crash late Sunday morning in the area of Coarsegold.

The crash occurred at about 11:23 a.m. Sunday, on Highway 41 and Morava Road near the Coarsegold Mini-Storage.

As per the CHP officials, a witness said a 92-year-old man was driving a 2002 Dodge Stratus when he made a turn into oncoming southbound traffic on Highway 41 from Morava Road.

A 42-year-old man identified as Jay Holland was at the same time riding a 2008 Yamaha southbound on Highway 41 and the two vehicles finally crashed. The rider was ejected over the car and onto Highway 41 as a result of the impact.

The CHP, Cal Fire and Sierra Ambulance arrived at the crash site. Holland was rushed to a local for treatment of severe injuries. His current condition was not immediately released.

R. Falcon, the Dodge motorist, did not sustain injuries in the crash. Officials gave him a field sobriety test and he reportedly passed.

An investigation is ongoing.
