2 Injured in Plane Crash at San Gabriel Valley Airport in El Monte

Pilot and Passenger Injured in El Monte Plane Accident at San Gabriel Valley Airport

El Monte, California (September 6, 2019) – According to a local news source, two people were injured when their plane crashed at San Gabriel Valley Airport in El Monte.

As per the local news report, the crash occurred at around 11:13 a.m. Saturday, August 31 in the 4233 block of Santa Anita Avenue.

Authorities said the airplane, described as a twin-engine Cessna, crashed into a fence at the end of the runway on Santa Anita Avenue. The aircraft reportedly lost power before going airborne.

Emergency crews responded to the scene and provided medical aid to the pilot and his passenger. Both patients were then transported to a local hospital with minor injuries. Their names have not yet been disclosed.

No further details were immediately given regarding the crash.

Authorities are still investigating the cause of the accident.
