2 Injured in Fallbrook Motorcycle Accident on East Mission Road

2 Men Hospitalized after Fallbrook Motorcycle Crash on East Mission Road near Old Highway 395

Fallbrook, California (September 14, 2019) – Two people were hospitalized Friday night in a traffic accident involving a motorcycle in Fallbrook, according to officials.

The crash occurred at around 8:50 p.m. Friday, September 13 on East Mission Road near Old Highway 395, close to Interstate 15.

Authorities said a man was riding his motorcycle on East Mission Road when for reasons still under investigation, he collided with a Honda Odyssey van. The force of the impact sent both vehicles tumbling down about 30-foot embankment.

The motorcyclist sustained life-threatening injuries while the driver and sole occupant of the van suffered moderate injuries in the accident. Paramedics transported both men to Palomar Medical Center in Escondido.

The names of the patients and their conditions were not immediately disclosed.

Details of what led up to the crash are unknown at this time. The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
