1 Hurt in San Jose Car Crash on Highway 101 near Tully Road Wednesday
San Jose, California (September 19, 2019) – According to a local news report, at least one person injured Wednesday night in an alleged hit-and-run accident in San Jose.
The crash, which was reported at around 8:13 p.m. Wednesday, September 18, happened on Highway 101, just north of Tully Road.
As per the local news report, five vehicles collided in the southbound lanes of Highway 101 for reasons still under investigation. The cars were described as a white Hyundai, a maroon van, a white sedan, a gray Mercedes and a white Ford Explorer.
One of the motorists involved did not stop and exited at Capitol Expressway. That driver then turned right at the end of the off-ramp towards Senter Road.
Medical personnel responded to the scene and rendered aid to one person who was injured in the crash. It was immediately unclear if the victim was taken to a hospital for further treatment. The name and condition of the patient were not immediately disclosed.
Authorities are still searching the hit-and-run motorist.
An investigation into the crash is underway.
