Man Struck and Killed by Vehicle on San Fernando Road near Truesdale Avenue in Pacoima Saturday morning
Los Angeles, California (October 21, 2019) – A pedestrian was struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver Saturday morning in Pacoima, authorities said.
The deadly pedestrian accident happened at around 11:50 p.m. Saturday, October 19 on San Fernando Road near Truesdale Avenue.
According to the authorities, the pedestrian, only identified as a 60-year-old man, had just gotten out of a parked vehicle and was crossing San Fernando Road when he was hit by a dark-colored car, possibly a black Lexus SUV.
The man was transported to a hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries. His name has not been released pending notification of family.
The driver of the vehicle involved reportedly did not stop to render aid to the victim and fled the scene.
Police are searching for the hit-and-run motorist.
