Officer Davis Gordon Hit and Injured by Car on Highway 99 at Lomo Crossing in Yuba City

Officer Davis Gordon Injured in Sutter County Pedestrian Accident on Highway 99 at Lomo Crossing

Yuba City, California (October 21, 2019) – The CHP officer who was hit and injured by a drunk driver in Yuba City, Sutter County, on Saturday morning.

The accident was reported at about 1:11 a.m. October 19, on Highway 99 at Lomo Crossing.

As per the report, Officer David Gordon was directing traffic at a broken railroad crossing when he was struck by an SUV.

The officer sustained serious injuries and was transported to a local hospital where he underwent surgery. He is reported to be in critical but stable condition.

The driver of the SUV, Lucas Julian Nelson sustained minor injuries and was rushed to a local hospital for treatment. He was later arrested on suspicion of DUI.

No further information was provided.

An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
