Mario Flores ID’d as Suspect in Hit-and-Run Accident on Big Valley Road in Sacramento

Mario Flores Sought in Connection with Sacramento Crash That Injured 7-Year-Old Boy on Big Valley Road in Sacramento

Sacramento, California (October 22, 2019) – The authorities want Mario Flores, 38, following a hit-and-run accident that seriously injured a 7-year-old boy Saturday in Sacramento.

The crash occurred Saturday, October 19 on Big Valley Road.

The authorities said a Kia Spectra driven by the boy’s mother, Rosalia Lopez, was traveling on Big Valley Road when for an unknown reason, another car driven by Flores struck the Kia.

Flores did not stop to render aid to the victim and fled the scene.

The boy was taken to UC Davis Medical Center, where he underwent three surgeries in three days. He remains hospitalized.

The California Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of the accident.
