Man Injured in San Jose Motorcycle Crash on 880 Freeway near Coleman Avenue

San Jose, California (October 23, 2019) – A man was injured after an alleged hit-and-run motorcycle accident on Tuesday morning in the area of San Jose.

The collision occurred on southbound 880 Freeway near Coleman Avenue off-ramp, a while after 11:07 a.m. Tuesday, October 22.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a man was riding a black motorcycle when he collided with a white pickup truck for unknown reasons. The motorcycle then crashed into the guardrail in the center divider of the interstate following the collision.

Firefighters along with medical personnel attended to the man who sustained injuries as a result of the collision. The patient’s name and their current condition were not immediately released.

Officials confirmed that the involved motorist fled the crash site before the officials arrived.

Authorities are investigating this crash as a hit-and-run accident.
