Juan Rodriguez Hurt in Visalia Motorcycle Accident at Visalia Giddings and Mineral King Avenue in Visalia
Visalia, California (October 22, 2019) – One of the riders injured after a motorcycle collision on Sunday afternoon has been identified as 28-year-old Juan Rodriguez of Visalia, according to a California Highway Patrol dispatch.
The collision occurred at around 5:00 p.m. Sunday, October 20, at Visalia Giddings and Mineral King Avenue, near Redwood High School.
According to the report, Rodriguez was riding a Honda motorcycle south on Giddings Street when he rode straight on a green light and collided into Kia. The Kia was traveling north and was turning west onto Mineral King Avenue also on a green light at the time of the crash.
Responding firefighters along with medical personnel attended to Rodriguez who suffered minor injuries as a result of the accident.
Officials confirmed that another rider was riding north on Giddings when he swerved to attempt to avoid the accident. The motorcyclist then lost control of his motorbike and hit the curb. The impact ejected the male motorcyclist. He was taken to the hospital for treatment severe injuries.
The Forte driver, 45-year-old Erick Olsen of Visalia, was not injured in the collision.
