Bicyclist Hit and Killed by 2 Cars in North Hills Identified
North Hills, California (October 21, 2019) – 56-year-old Joel Fisher was the bicyclist who was fatally struck by two vehicles Friday night in North Hills, according to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner.
Authorities said the accident took place at around 8:23 p.m. at Rayen Street and Woodley Avenue.
Fisher was riding a bicycle in the area when a car heading southbound on Woodley Avenue hit him. The 21-year-old driver of the vehicle stopped after the accident to offer help to the rider. Meanwhile, a driver of a black 4-door sedan failed to stop and ran over the bicyclist.
Fisher was rushed to a hospital for treatment but succumbed to his injuries.
The driver of the second vehicle failed to stop at the scene and sped away.
Authorities are investigating the accident.
