James Jones Injured in El Cajon Car Accident at Chase and Lemon Avenues

James Jones ID’d as Passenger Injured in Suspected Street Racing Crash at Chase and Lemon Avenues

El Cajon, California (October 23, 2019) – James Jones has been identified as the passenger who was injured in a traffic accident involving a street racing in El Cajon earlier this month.

The accident took place at about 2:30 a.m. Tuesday, October 8 in the area of Chase and Lemon avenues.

According to a local news source, Samantha Rezendez was heading home when for an unknown reason, her vehicle was hit by a 2000 Mercedes Benz.

Due to the impact, Rezendez’s vehicle traveled across all the lanes of traffic and slammed into a barrier wall of a home.

Jones, who was riding as a passenger in the Rezendez’s vehicle, sustained broken ribs and bruises. He was transported to a hospital.

Reportedly, the Mercedes driver jumped out of the car and entered into a second vehicle that was suspected of having been involved in a street race with the Mercedes.

Authorities are looking for the hit-and-run driver.
