Woman Hospitalized after Oro Grande Car Accident on National Trails Highway near Mill Street
Ora Grande, California (August 20, 2019) – A woman was critically injured on Monday afternoon when she collided head-on with a cement truck in Oro Grande. Police said the incident occurred at around 2:49 p.m. August 19, on National Trails Highway near Mill Street.
Authorities said the woman was driving a red Chevy Camaro when they collided head-on with Roberson’s tractor-trailer carrying cement.
The woman suffered critical injuries and was taken to the hospital for treatment. Her small dog traveling with her in the Chevy was killed in the accident.
The driver of the truck was not injured.
The California Highway Patrol shut down the two-lane highway when the medical helicopter landed at the scene.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
