2 Killed in Zamora Two-Vehicle Crash on Interstate 5
Zamora, California (August 23, 2019) – According to the CHP, two people were killed in a two-vehicle crash early Friday morning on Interstate 5 in Yolo County.
CHP said a semi-truck was attempting to enter the freeway from the shoulder and as it was attempting to make a U-turn on northbound I-5 it was t-boned by a Ford SUV.
The impact caused the SUV to catch fire.
Two of the five people riding in the SUV were killed in the crash. The conditions of the other three people were not disclosed.
The driver and passenger of the semi-truck were not injured.
The crash closed all lanes of I-5.
The crash remains under investigation.
