Tom Morris Dies in Fatal San Diego Pedestrian Accident on Texas Street
San Diego, California (August 21, 2019) – A pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle at around 11:33 p.m. Sunday, August 18 in the 4300 block of Texas Street in San Diego, authorities said.
According to police, the pedestrian, Tom Morris, 53, of San Diego, was ambulating with a walker and attempting to cross the street when a southbound 2015 Chevrolet Cruze struck him.
Morris was transported to Scripps Mercy Hospital, where his death was pronounced.
A 45-year-old man, who was the driver of the Cruze, stopped at the scene and cooperated with law enforcement officers.
The accident remains under investigation by San Diego Police.
