Woman Killed in Sylmar Pedestrian Accident on North San Fernando Road
Sylmar, California (August 21, 2019) – A pedestrian was hit and killed by a Metrolink train at around 8:25 a.m. Tuesday, August 20 in the 12800 block of North San Fernando Road in Sylmar, authorities said.
According to the authorities, the pedestrian, a woman in her 30s, was wearing earphones when she was struck by the train.
The woman, who has not been identified pending notification of family, was declared dead at the scene.
None of the passengers or crews aboard Antelope Valley Line train No. 208 were injured.
An investigation into the crash is underway.
