Luis Seguraaredond and Javier Napoles Injured in Oakdale Car Accident on Oakdale-Waterford Highway
Oakdale, California (August 30, 2019) – According to a local news source, three people were killed and two others were injured in a head-on crash that happened at around 9:55 p.m. Wednesday, August 28 in Oakdale.
As per the local news report, a 2010 Chevy Camaro was heading southbound on Oakdale-Waterford Highway at a high rate of speed when it drifted into the northbound lane and collided head-on with a northbound 2006 Volkswagen Jetta.
The force of the impact caused the Jetta to flip over and came to a stop on the east shoulder of the highway on its right side. The Camaro stopped in the northbound lane, facing east.
Within five minutes, witnesses said a Hyundai sedan traveling northbound on the highway, crashed into the Camaro. The Camaro spun out of control and the Hyundai came to rest on the road’s shoulder as a result of the crash.
The driver of the Camaro, the driver of the Jetta and his passenger, Maria Hernandez de Garcia, 60, of Parlier, all died at the scene of the accident.
The driver of the Hyundai, Luis Miguel Seguraaredondo, 33, of Kerman, and his passenger, Javier Napoles, 59, of Fresno, were transported to a hospital. One of the patients, its unknown which, was in critical and the other had life-threatening injuries.
Authorities are still investigating the cause of the crash.
