69-Year-Old Woman Killed in Oro Grande Car Accident on National Trails Highway and Mill Street
Oro Grande, CA (August 21, 2019) – A 69-year-old Helendale woman was killed on Monday afternoon, August 19, at about 3:00 p.m. in an accident involving a and a truck in Oro Grande.
Police said the crash occurred in the area of National Trails Highway and Mill Street.
The California Highway Patrol said a 60-year-old man was driving a 2017 Mack truck south on National Trails Highway while the woman was driving a 2016 Chevrolet Camaro northbound. The woman allowed her vehicle to cross over the solid double yellow lines into the southbound lane. The car collided with the truck head-on.
The woman was severely injured, and she sadly succumbed to her injuries at the scene of the crash.
The driver of the truck was not injured in the crash.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
