Jennifer Haro-Gonzalez Dies in Fatal Homeland Car Accident on Highway 74 near Winchester Road
Homeland, California (August 20, 2019) – Authorities have identified the person who was killed Monday afternoon in a two-car accident that also left three other people injured in Homeland.
Jennifer Haro-Gonzalez, 36, of Hemet, died in the wreck that occurred at around 12:50 p.m. Monday, August 19 on Highway 74 near Winchester Road.
According to a report released by the California Highway Patrol, two vehicles collided on eastbound Highway 74. Due to the impact, one of the cars involved overturned into a ditch along the highway and ejected two people.
One of the ejected victims, Haro-Gonzalez, was pronounced dead at the scene. The other patient was transported to Riverside University Medical Center in Moreno Valley with several broken bones.
Two other victims sustained minor injuries and were taken to the hospital.
The eastbound side of the highway was shut down as authorities investigated the accident.
The crash remains under investigation.
