2 Injured in Pedestrian Accident at Geary Boulevard and Webster in Japantown

Officer, Suspect Injured in Japantown Pedestrian Crash at Geary Boulevard and Webster Street

San Francisco, California (August 26, 2019) – According to the California Highway Patrol, a San Francisco police officer, and a suspect were struck and injured by a police patrol car in the area of Geary Boulevard and Webster Street in Japantown.

The CHP said an officer was driving an unmarked patrol car when for an unknown reason, he struck another officer and one of the two people suspected of breaking into vehicles.

The officer sustained minor injuries and was taken to a hospital. The suspect was also hospitalized with life-threatening injuries.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
