2 Airlifted after Car Accident on National Trails Highway in Barstow

Two Airlifted after Barstow Two-Vehicle Crash on National Trails Highway

Barstow, California (August 27, 2019) – According to a local news source, two people were airlifted after a two-vehicle crash on Monday, August 26, at about 5:55 p.m. on National Trails Highway in Barstow.

As per the report, a Scion XD and a four-door second sedan collided for unknown reasons on the highway. The impact caused the Scion to flip onto its side and block the roadway.

Two medical helicopters were requested to the scene to airlift two people to an out of area trauma center. The conditions of the victims were not immediately disclosed.

The crash closed the two-lane highway near Frontier Road for several hours.

No further details were provided.

The CHP is investigating the crash.
