1 Killed, 2 Injured in Car Accident on Belmont Avenue in Fresno

25-Year-Old Woman Dies, 2 injured in Fresno Crash on Belmont Avenue near Cedar Avenue

Fresno, California (August 18, 2019) – One person was killed and two others were injured in a traffic accident in Fresno. The deadly crash took place at around 11:10 a.m. Saturday, August 17 on Belmont Avenue near Cedar and Maple Avenue.

According to a local news source, a 35-year-old man was driving a white Trailblazer on Belmont Avenue when for an unknown reason, the Trailblazer collided with a green car.

The Trailblazer then slammed into a parked big rig that was being unloaded.

A 25-year-old woman, who was riding as a passenger in the SUV, died in the crash. Her name has not been disclosed pending notification of family.

The second passenger in the SUV, a two-year-old child, was taken to a hospital as a precaution. The SUV driver was taken to Community Medical Center with unknown injuries.

Further details were not immediately available, and the crash remains under investigation.
